Son of a folk dance tutor and raised with traditional music and dance accordion player and dancer Johnnie Frederiksen has established himself as one of the best dance musicians in tradtional Danish music and dance. He began his career as member of the Horsens based dance group ”Fandango” and has been travelling all over Europe with this. Later Johnnie was one of the founders of the acknowledged Danish band ”Baltinget” and in 1996 he joined one of Harald Haugaard’s earliest bands ”DK-Locomotive”. Johnnie is now a days a requested dance musician and a full time teacher at Ringe Efterskole where he among other subjects teaches traditional dance.
